OFFICIAL RULES APPLICABLE TO ALL SWEEPSTAKES. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. One entry per person per Cosmo's Free Stuff. Employees (and their immediate families) of Hearst Communications, Inc. ("Sponsor") and its subsidiaries and affiliates are not eligible. Winners may be asked to submit an affidavit of eligibility/publicity release. By accepting a prize, except where prohibited by law, winner grants Sponsor the right to use her name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without notice or further compensation. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these rules. If any winner cannot be contacted for any reason within ten (10) business days from the date such winner is announced; is ineligible; fails to claim her prize; or, where required or requested by Sponsor to do so, fails to return the completed and executed affidavit of eligibility/publicity release within fourteen (14) days of prize notification; her prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected at random. By entering the sweepstakes, entrants release and hold harmless Sponsors, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, advisers, employees, officers, directors, shareholders, and representatives from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind arising in connection with the sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of any prize, including without limitation personal injury, death, and property damage, as well as claims based on violation of publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.

Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete entries, computer system, phone line, hardware, software, or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures, or delays in computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. Entrants must have valid email address, and it is their responsibility to keep their email addresses current with Cosmopolitan.com. Sponsor reserves right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend sweepstakes should virus, bugs, or other causes beyond control of Sponsor corrupt administration, security, or proper play of the sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of a person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered. Any attempt to deliberately damage any Website or undermine legitimate operation of sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Sponsor reserves right to seek damages from any violator to fullest extent permitted by law. Winners will be chosen by random drawing, and odds of winning are based on the number of eligible entries received for Cosmo's Free Stuff. Drawing will be conducted by Cosmopolitan magazine. Winners are responsible for any taxes on prize. Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the United States, and the District of Columbia, age 18 and older. Residents of Puerto Rico are not eligible to enter. Prizes not transferable or redeemable for cash. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at its sole discretion. Subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void outside the U.S. and Canada and where prohibited. How to enter: Complete and submit the entry form for any of the Cosmo's Free Stuff sweepstakes. For the BlackBerry Pearl, one winner will be chosen to win (retail value: $399). For The Devil Wears Prada sweepstakes, 10 winners will be chosen to win (retail value: $29.95). For the Freeze 24-7 beauty products sweepstakes, three winners will be chosen to win (retail value: $260). Sweepstakes begins 12:00 a.m. ET, December 12, 2006. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET, January 15, 2007. Ability to enter to win may be closed during specific times, per Cosmopolitan's discretion. DISPUTES/CHOICE OF LAW: Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by state or federal courts situated in New York, NY; (2) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys' fees; (3) no punitive, incidental, special, consequential or other damages, including without limitation lost profits may be awarded (collectively, "Special Damages"); and (4) entrant hereby waives all rights to claim Special Damages and all rights to have such damages multiplied or increased. New York law, without reference to New York's choice of law rules, governs the Sweepstakes and all aspects related thereto.
